Our dog Lexi is such a teacher! Being a dog, only she knows what she is truly thinking and feeling. Yet so often I find there is this two-way magic. She is such a fine example of mirroring, for example. It looks like she is adoring Shane but in reality we are both adoring her!

She is incredibly enthusiastic each morning to go to the beach. I have a choice to share it and ride her leadership energy right to the car or I can be irritated that she is pestering me! Fortunately for the both of us, I usually just ride her unwavering wave.

And fortunately for you too, as I definitely radiate out happy vibes after I have had a swim!

I took my iPhone out in the water (in a waterproof case) to share a different perspective on the waves. These were manini 1-2 footers, that packed enough punch for a long body surf run.

I love the turbulent energy that spills out of this photo. Can you feel it?

Not exactly the 18 footers on the North Shore, but who's counting? Only take score if it feels good!

What is it about foot prints in the sand that is so appealing? Maybe it is the reaffirming visible connection between our isolated selves and the magical earth on which we live.

For today though I just like thinking about how little is required to conjure up the essence of a loved one, something as simple and transient as a foot print in the sand.

I had this thought at the beach today:
All timing is right timing.

It's another way of saying, as Ram Dass did, Be Here Now.

Or another way of being in the flow. Resistance and flow are opposites, and I am voting for flow this year.

So it follows by extension that all weather is right weather. The beach is so delightfully uncrowded on cloudy days. Yes, I love the warm sunshine and sparkle tho today was breathtakingly beautiful with silver serene scene and the monochromatic drama of the clouds in full range gray scale!

Later: I made the word of the day be LOL - normally that means Laugh Out Loud. I like it also to be Live Out Large, but the main reminder for me is to LAUGH MORE. By my nature, I am a sensitive type, a get the job done type, I sometimes forget to laugh. :-)
